Thankful and still stuffed!

This year we had the Potters join us for the fun and we were so glad they did. The theme in the kitchen was..."crap, did we just burn that?" Even with a few things left in the oven for a bit too long...ie. bread crumbs, green beans casserole, and a batch of rolls...they were all still edible and dare I say unnoticeable.
Here is a quick rundown of our Thanksgiving...Potters arrive on Tuesday...play, shop, play some more. Wednesday....Ann and Lori cook, cook, and cook some more while the kids play and swim with Nanna. Thursday...start morning off with some yummy Monkey Bread (so yummy).

Drake begs to get dressed so we can get to the 9:55am showing of "A Christmas Carol". I loved it!
It was so frigid outside, Dan decided to get a fire going to warm all our toes.
Can you ever have enough rolls for Thanksgiving???? They were about the only thing my kids ate.
Ann showed us all that she has mad pie-making skills...so delish! ( some little finger tried out the pumpkin, who could that have been???)
We were slowly getting it all together to eat.
I missed the next few photo ops as I was getting the rest of the food ready to eat and then I just plain forgot to take pics of the rest of the dinner.
It is hard to cook with this little one attatched to my hip, but we got it done.
Ann and Drake bonding.
So full after dinner we had to take our pants off, fortunately for you Drake is the only one I photographed:)

And to wrap up the day Dan got a few pics of the moon...

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving...so much to be thankful for!

daddy/daughter date

Brynn and Dan got to attend the "Ball" our primary threw last weekend. She was so excited to have a date with Dad. I think her favorite part was going shopping for the dress. She insisted on wearing something that her dad had never seen before...how could I say "no". I was fortunate enough to get to witness the whole thing since I am in the primary presidency...it was a sweet night for both of them and it made me cry seeing them together dancing to really cute songs about dads and daughters.
