From the Journal of Kohl

I got back Kohl's journal from last week and thought this entry was just too cute and I wanted to share...

"Today is peresudents day. The peresudent keeps are cunchery safe."

Now there is a campaign slogan any of the delegates running could benefit from:).

We are having a....

Come July we will be welcoming a baby BOY! The boys are thrilled, Brynn...not so much. I have convinced her that it is cool to be the only girl and thus she will never have to share her girly things and mom and dad only have to pay for one wedding, so the skies the limit for her!
I do have to share what she said Monday morning on this subject...
Brynn..."Mom, you know that Heavenly Father loves me and wants me to be happy."
Me..."Of course He loves you!"
Brynn..."So, you have to be having a girl because I will only be happy with a baby sister!"
Me...(about 90% sure we were having a boy) "Brynn, if we have a boy it doesn't mean Heavenly Father doesn't love you. You can be happy with 3 brothers."

It kind of broke my heart to know that she will never get to know the joys of having a sister. Mine are my best friends and I would be so sad without them to talk to all the time. Brynn is tough and she will be just fine...there are always sisters-in-law to look forward to!

Happy Love Day!

Is there anything better than homemade Valentine's from your kids, especially when they say I am "speshol" and "pretty" ( I helped Brynn spell that one). These will be framed!
Hope you all have a great Valentine's Day.

Look Mom!

Kohl was so excited to have FINALLY lost his first tooth. He is the last one in his class to do so and was starting to feel a little sad. He had been wiggling the tooth for weeks to get it loose enough to pull it out.
He thought the tooth fairy was cheap by only leaving $1...I asked him how much he thought a tooth was worth these days and he informed me it was worth at least $5! And to think Dan wanted to only leave him a quarter...
Maybe he really values teeth and will become a dentist:)

California 2007 vacation slide show

Dan put together this slide show video from our trip to southern California just before Christmas. We were there with Dan's family and spent a few days in Disneyland/California Adventure, a day in SeaWorld, a day at Knott's Berry Farm, and a day at Hunnington Beach. It was a great time!

Click to enjoy! Full length is about 10 minutes.

Waffles!

After some hard playing in the snow the kids were ready for some yummy waffles and hot chocolate to warm up the frozen apendages.

We love snow days!

For kids is there anything better than hearing..."school is cancelled!". Kohl and Brynn were up at the crack of dawn as giddy as they are on Christmas morning with the news that they get to stay home today. I was hoping the news would send them back to bed, where I wanted to stay all day, but, instead they ran to the closet to put on their snow clothes and go play in the magic white stuff. If you knew the struggle we have each morning just getting these kids up and out of bed you would know why this just made me laugh. (this picture was taken at 6:50 a.m.)

Dan, on the other hand, got to get up at 5:30 this morning to try and shovel himself out of our driveway...for him there is no snow day and his 8am patient will be there waiting on him. Too bad we don't have a 3 car garage!
