Seriously...ugh!!! We had a very good, low-key summer and it went WAY too fast.
As I put my cuties on the bus I could only think...there go my great babysitters, now it is up to me to entertain Chase and Drake all day! What is a girl to do????
We finally made a quick trip out to see the Potter clan in Omaha, Nebraska while Jim is in law school. The cousins played hard and had a ton of fun. Thanks for putting up with us, Ann!
The main activity for everyone this summer was swim team...daily practices and Monday night swim meets were all we did for all of June and half of July. Chase even got to join the team this year and let me tell you, there is nothing cuter than a four year old behind in jammers! He was so cute to watch swim and really improved his skills and times this season. The last regular meet of the season fell on Drake's 2nd birthday...so we took his party to the meet, he didn't seem to mind.
When I asked Brynn awhile ago what she really wanted for her birthday she thought a moment and then said she wanted to get baptized on her birthday. Since it landed on a Thursday we had to make sure the Bishopric would be able to accommodate her wishes and that the building was open...she lucked out the pieces fell together and her birthday wish was granted...but who could say no to that face? She had a wonderful day and the baptism went off beautifully. Her Grandmas both got to speak and showered her with love, advice, and gifts. Brynn sang her first solo and did a great job. It was perfect.
I stay home with my four kids...something I never dreamed of doing, but now that I am a mom there is nothing in this world I would rather do. I don't like to write too much, but rather let the pictures speak for themselves. Maybe when I have more time to actually sit and compose I will do just that, but for now I have a baby who demands most of my time and 90% of my posts are done with him in tow.
